September 21, 2017, 一The Third High-power Semiconductor Lasers Application Forum collectively hosted by Focuslight Technology and LIMO, has smoothly come to an end. As a grand meeting for academic exchange and technical discussion, the forum once again has drawn the attention from all industry.
The theme of this forum is “Innovation & cooperation”, and discussion was opened under the topic of the high-power semiconductor laser and the development of laser optics in the forum. Many Chinese scholars and industry leaders and experts around the world were invited to the forum. More than 300 people have attended the meeting.
On 9 o’clock in the morning, the invited guests gathered in the establishment of Focuslight Technology. In the opening address, Fan Zhenyuan, academician of CAE, Zhaowei, director of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Lan Zhuangli, director of Shanxi administration of foreign experts affairs collectively gave praise to Focuslight Technology for the growth and contributions in the last decade. The host welcomed the guests from all places.
Around 1 PM, the sub-forum of bioscience application, the sub-forum of solid-state laser pumping application, and the sub-forum of micro-optics application began respectively. The invited guests including principal Lu Yi of the first affiliated hospital of Chiao Tung University, director Gao Ling of laser surgery center, Xijing hospital, and senior engineer Iehisa of Unitac gave speeches on the sub-forum, sharing their exclusive opinion and analysis in terms of application of technology, industry development, and market of high-power semiconductor lasers and laser optics. With a dozen of excellent industry reports, the meeting has come to a satisfactory end.
One worth mentioning fact is that the time of this forum happens to be the 10th anniversary of Focuslight Technology and the 25th anniversary of LIMO. Apart from the academic forum, Focuslight had also deliberately prepared a celebrating banquet, ending the whole event in a climax.
